Stewart Dickson MLA said: “The comments by the Community Relations Council and the International Fund for Ireland, two highly respected organisations, have highlighted why the new OFMDFM shared future strategy is not ambitious or challenging enough.
“This is the single biggest challenge facing Northern Ireland, yet the document that they produced contained very few details.
“It appears that this is merely a headline grabbing stunt to appease the British, Irish and American Governments ahead of the G8 summit.
“The Alliance shared future document, ‘For Everyone’, contains clear plans and timetables to tackle key issues such as flags, parades and mixed housing. The public should compare the two strategies and decide for themselves who is actually committed to the delivery of a genuine shared future for everyone.”
