Alliance MLA Stewart Dickson has condemned an attack on an Orange Hall in Ballymena.The premises in the Duneaney Road area of Glarryford suffered minor damage to its front door after a petrol bomb was thrown at it. The device was discovered around 7.45pm yesterday (Monday). The police have confirmed they are treating the incident as a hate crime.
“This attack was nothing more than mindless vandalism which I utterly condemn,” said Mr Dickson.
“Nothing is gained by these attacks, except trying to divide the community. The majority of people oppose it and do not support those who carry it out.
“Those responsible offer nothing positive to our society. If anyone has any information on this attack, I urge them to take it to police immediately.”
