Shots were fired at the home in Velsheda Court on Wednesday night, after the man occupying the home opened the door. His family – who were inside at the time of the incident – were left shaken.
Stewart Dickson MLA said: “This attack must have been terrifying for the family involved and should be universally condemned.
“The whole community will be united in shock and sadness at this incident, which had the potential to end with fatalities. My thoughts are with the family and wider circle as they recover from this terrifying ordeal.
“Everyone has the right to live in their own homes free from fear and intimidation and I would appeal to anyone with information to come forward and speak to the PSNI as soon as possible.”
