Dickson condemns arson attacks in Greenisland

Alliance East Antrim MLA Stewart Dickson has condemned three arson attacks that happened overnight in Greenisland. Mr Dickson has visited the location of the fires in Mullaghmore Park and Knocksallagh Park, in which a car, a shed and an unoccupied building were set on fire.

Stewart Dickson MLA said: “I utterly condemn the people responsible for these attacks. They caused serious damage to a number of vehicles and buildings. We are just lucky that no one was injured or killed.

“This was just wanton violence by thugs who have no respect for the local community.

“I have visited the different sites and talked to local people. They are disgusted at what happened.

“If anybody has any information about these arson attacks then I would urge them to contact the police.”
