Stewart Dickson MLA said: “This has been an absolute fiasco on the part of Ulster Bank. Ulster Bank have serious questions to answer on how poorly they have handled this situation.
“In England its sister banks that were also affected by this system problem have done much better to help customers out. These banks in England were open at 8am, but constituents have been complaining to me that some branches of Ulster bank did not open till usual at 9-30 am.
“Ulster Bank have been saying over the past 10 days that they will get it fixed shortly, but the patience of many customers is running out.
“And as the summer approaches a lot of people will be going on holiday and they will be worrying about how they will be able to access their bank accounts.
“The chaos that has resulted from this problem has knocked the public’s confidence in Ulster Bank.”
