Alliance Justice Spokesperson Stewart Dickson MLA has condemned those behind a bomb which exploded outside the home of a police officer and another security alert, both in the Claudy area.
Stewart Dickson MLA said: “These are despicable acts and people are disgusted at the actions of those who are behind these incidents. Those who seek to cause havoc and destruction must never be allowed to destabilise the progress we have made in building peace. Today’s news is particularly sad given the tragic incidents in the past in this area.
“The callousness and total disregard shown by those involved in these incidents is absolutely appalling. My thoughts are with those affected as this must be a very traumatic time for them.
“I call on people to be vigilant in the surrounding areas and I appeal to anyone with information to contact police immediately to assist them with their investigations.”
