Alliance Alderman Yvonne Boyle has said whoever was behind a shooting in the Loughanhill Park area of Coleraine on Sunday night needs to be put before the courts.

Alderman Boyle said: “We are long past the time when guns should have been taken taken off our streets. It is unbelievable that gun carrying masked men can enter someone’s home, fire shots and think they can get away without consequence. It is fortunate that no one was killed or seriously injured.

“I would urge anyone with information about this incident to pass it to the police or anonymously to the Crimestoppers Charity on 0800 555 111.These people need to be brought before the courts as soon as possible.”
