Cochrane takes part in charity walk for NI Cancer Fund for Children

Alliance East Belfast MLA Judith Cochrane has taken part in a charity walk organised by the NI Cancer Fund for Children. The sponsored walk at Belvoir Forest Park, the Walk in the Woods, was organised in partnership with Olympia Summer Scheme which is run by Belfast Council. Judith is Secretary of the Assembly All Party Group on Cancer.

Judith Cochrane MLA said: “I felt very proud to take part in this sponsored walk in aid of NI Cancer Fund for Children. This is the fifth year of the walk and £870 was raised this year bringing the total to date to an amazing£4608.44.

“I would like to congratulate all those involved in organised this event. It was a great day out and was enjoyed by all who took part.

“It is a good example of how children, whilst enjoying their summer break, can learn about the work of a charity and do their part to support it.
