Homes and cars were attacked overnight in the Bloomfield area, with windows smashed and racist graffiti daubed on a number of properties.
Judith Cochrane MLA said: “It is absolutely horrifying to hear so many homes and families have been targeted overnight. This cannot be allowed to continue.
“This type of behaviour is unjustifiable. Everyone deserves the right to feel safe from harm in their home, free from the on-going threat of intimidation.
“Alliance representatives have been in the area this morning and have previously conducted a number of surveys and know these attacks are not reflective of the larger community.
“East Belfast has so much to offer, yet these on-going shameful incidents are continuing to put our local community under the spotlight for unwanted reasons. We must unite together to bring an end to them.
“I would urge anyone with information to contact the PSNI as soon as possible so that those behind these incidents can be stopped.”
