Cochrane highlights importance for business women to build up their networks

Alliance Finance spokesperson Judith Cochrane MLA has highlighted the importance for business women to build up their networks. She was speaking after she attended ‘Networking for Growth’, an event run by Women In Business at Hillsborough Castle. Cathriona Hallahan, the Managing Director for Microsoft Ireland, was the guest speaker.

Judith Cochrane MLA said: “A key point was made at this event – that your network is your net worth. For business women who have faced difficulties in building contacts, events like this can be very important in developing networks.

“If we are to grow the Northern Ireland economy and in particular the private sector, then we must encourage and support people to get involved in the business world, especially women who are underrepresented in this sector.

“We need to particularly help those business women who have proposals for starting their own companies.
