Cochrane encourages budding business women to take part in inspirational event

Alliance East Belfast MLA Judith Cochrane has encouraged women to take part in a Women into Business event ‘Turning Over A New Leaf’. It aims to equip participants with the right skills and knowledge to transform their business idea into a start-up reality. It is for women who are unemployed or working/studying 16 hours per week or less.

Judith Cochrane MLA said: “This one-of-a-kind event provides a great opportunity for women of all ages to gain skills, knowledge and confidence to take the next step with their business ideas. Despite the wealth of creativity and great ideas that abound locally, many, perhaps due to inexperience or trepidation, are reluctant to even consider starting up their own business. The Women into Business programme takes account of all these factors, and the range of issues it covers is extensive. New ideas and start-ups are what will help to grow our economy and I would strongly encourage anyone considering their next step to register for the event.”

The ‘Turning Over A New Leaf’ event will take place on Tuesday 15 October, from 9:30am – 1:00pm at the Assembly Building Conference Centre (beside Spires Mall).
