Cochrane backs freephone helpline to help address homelessness

Alliance Social Development Spokesperson Judith Cochrane MLA has welcomed news that the Simon Community has marked the 40th anniversary of the organisation with the creation of a freephone helpline for people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The freephone line is a partnership between the Simon Community NI and the Supporting People Project.

Judith Cochrane MLA said: “The creation of this phone line is a brilliant initiative and I would encourage anyone who is homeless or is at risk of homelessness to use this important new service. The freephone helpline number is 08001712222.

“I also want to praise the excellent work of the Simon Community over the past 40 years. The organisation has a proud history and plays such an important role in helping people as regards homelessness.”
