Cllr Tom Campbell said: “Those who left this explosive device near such a built up area obviously do not have much regard for human life. If someone had been passing it as it exploded, the police may have had had a murder investigation on their hands.
“The whole community is stunned at this incident. If anybody has any information about this explosion, I would urge them to contact the police immediately.”
