Officers carried out a search at the house in Mowhan Street off the Lisburn Road yesterday (Wednesday), during which approximately 100 cannabis plants and an assortment of apparatus used for the cultivation of cannabis plants were seized. No arrests have been made.
“I would like to praise local police for taking this cannabis haul and the production factory off our streets,” said Ms Bradshaw.
“Drugs pose a danger to the community and they strengthen criminal elements, which terrorise many areas. The community is safer now these drugs have been seized but some people remain who are intent on peddling these dangerous substances on our streets.
“I would appeal to anyone with information around this factory, those behind it or anyone else involved in the drugs trade to contact police.”
