The death, which police are treating as suspicious, occurred at Divis Tower. A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of the body of a man, named locally as James Hughes. Meanwhile in a separate incident, a man in his 30s was shot in the leg at Springview Walk on Sunday. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Ms Bradshaw said she condemned the suspected murder and paramilitary-style attack in the strongest possible terms.
“My thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the deceased. I commend the PSNI for the promptness in taking forward their investigation, and would encourage anyone with information to come forward. Justice has to be done for Mr Hughes.
“I was also disgusted by the gun attack on the young man in the west of the city. I would pay tribute to the health staff for providing care for the victim and reiterate Alliance’s call for the complete and unequivocal end of all paramilitary activity.”
