Bradshaw disgusted by South Belfast sectarian hate crime

Alliance Belfast Councillor Paula Bradshaw has condemned those behind an attack on a house in the Walmer Street area of South Belfast that the Police are treating as a sectarian hate crime. A brick was thrown through the front window of the house on Sunday. Nobody was injured in the attack, but sectarian abuse was shouted at the female occupant.

Councillor Paula Bradshaw said: “Attacks of any nature have no place in our society. We must build a shared Northern Ireland where there is tolerance of those from all backgrounds.

“I know this attack will be widely condemned by the South Belfast community and would like to offer my support to this woman after what must have been a traumatic experience.

“The people responsible must be urgently apprehended by the Police to face justice in the courts, so I would urge anybody with any information about this attack to contact the PSNI or Crimestoppers.”
