Alliance Carrickfergus Councillor Gavin Norris and Antrim Councillor Neil Kelly have welcomed the jobs announcement by Schrader Electronics. 241 jobs will be created at their Carrickfergus and Antrim sites. The company makes tyre pressures gauges for the car industry.
Cllr Gavin Norris said: “This announcement will be a big boost to the local and Northern Ireland economy. It is a further positive sign for our economy following similar jobs announcements by companies such as Caterpillar and Terumo.
“It is great to see international companies investing in Northern Ireland.
Cllr Neil Kelly said: “It is fantastic to see more jobs being created in County Antrim. I hope that we will see more positive announcements in the coming months.
“These are exactly the type of high value jobs that we should be looking to attract to Northern Ireland.”
