Alliance Education Spokesperson Trevor Lunn MLA has congratulated students here on their A-Level results and said that these results show that standard of teaching across Northern Ireland is extremely high. Alliance Employment and Learning Spokesperson Anna Lo added that people should consider further education and vocational courses as well as looking at higher education options.
Trevor Lunn MLA: “I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate students here on their A-Level results.
“Even though there has been a slight decrease in the number of A grades in Northern Ireland, our results are still better than those in England and Wales and this must be recognised. These results underline the very high quality standard of teaching here.
Anna Lo MLA said: “This is a difficult time for those finished school who are trying to decide which path they will take in the future. There appears to be more people applying for courses, and this is a sensible option given the difficulties within the job market at the moment, however, there may not be enough places for everyone.. There are a wide range of options open in further education and people should look at vocational training as it can also lead to many opportunities in relation to employment.
“I would like to wish all those who gain results today the best of luck with the road ahead.”
