“The Northern Ireland economy remains significantly underdeveloped and its transformation has been held back in recent times through violence and division. We now have a closing window of opportunity to make the necessary changes and to fully capture opportunities. This means that local politicians and business leaders step up and also that we continue to seek international support. To that end, Alliance would strongly urge US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to appoint a replacement Economic Envoy as soon as possible.”
