David Ford said: “David Griffin is by far the best candidate for the Dromore area. He is a former vice-principal of Banbridge Academy and he was Vice-Chair of Banbridge District Policing Partnership. He knows the area and knows what local people want for Dromore.
“David has ambition for Dromore. He has a vision to regenerate the town and capitalize on its historic past to maximize its tourism potential.
“Other parties are trying to make this election into a futile referendum into the St Andrews Agreement. This election is not about jockeying for places in a sectarian headcount – It’s about choosing the right person for everyone in Dromore.
“When I visited Dromore to see David on Saturday I was struck with the massively positive response he is getting on the ground. Local people can see that David Griffin stands for a better and shared future for Dromore and the whole of Banbridge.
