Alliance East Belfast representatives have welcomed the announcement of 993 jobs that are being created by the expansion of Stream Global Services / LBM Direct Marketing in East Belfast.
Stream Global Services specialises in customer relationship management including in-bound and out-bound sales, customer care, customer retention, back-office functions and technical support and warranty. Earlier this year, Stream Global Services acquired the UK business LBM Direct Marketing which employs 750 employees in West Belfast.
Naomi Long MP said: “This will be a massive boost for the East Belfast economy and for the whole of Northern Ireland. International companies such as Stream Global Services have been attracted to invest here due to our good local skills base and infrastructure.
Judith Cochrane MLA said: “This investment is a vote of confidence in East Belfast as a good place to do business. I hope that we will see other international companies invest in Northern Ireland and bring more jobs and money into our economy.
Chris Lyttle MLA said: “I hope this jobs announcement will encourage local people to improve their skills level to regain employment or further their career. I would like to pay tribute to the work of Invest NI and the Department for Employment and Learning for the role they have played in securing these jobs through support packages and ensuring the workforce have the skills base that these companies require. “
