South Antrim Assembly member David Ford has condemned a petrol bomb attack on a Catholic Church in Glengormley as “barbaric”.
Mr Ford stated: “This was just the latest in a series of attacks on St Mary’s over the years, and people are both sickened by them and sick of them.
“Such a pointless, pathetic and cowardly attack on a place of worship is not just an affront to common decency, but unfortunately typical of the intolerance that exists in our society.
“The paint covering part of the church following another recent attack is a sad reminder of the how the parishioners of St Mary’s have been victimised by sectarian scum.
“Those responsible for these attacks have nothing to offer, and their actions can only be described as barbaric.”
