Alliance MLA Paula Bradshaw has welcomed the proposed development of two apart-hotels in the Stockman’s Lane and Apollo Road area, saying it shows real confidence in South Belfast as a whole.
Responding to news that Patrick Kearney, owner of Ten Square, is launching a bid to bring the brand to two new locations in the area, the South Belfast Assembly member said: “Proposed developments such as this show real faith South Belfast will continue to grow in terms of attracting the tourism and conference industries. What is exciting about this proposal is it goes beyond the city centre and university area.
“Apart-hotels are increasingly the accommodation of choice both for business and leisure travellers and it is essential South Belfast maximises opportunities in this area if it can.
“This is an encouraging sign we can continue to attract investment to South Belfast despite the uncertainty caused by Brexit and the non-functioning Executive.”
