Alliance Justice spokesperson Trevor Lunn MLA has congratulated the PSNI on the seizure of a large amount of drugs in mid-Ulster.
Trevor Lunn said: “Illegal drugs bring nothing but misery and even death to our community. I congratulate the police on this operation in the mid-Ulster area, which led to the seizure of substantial quantities of cannabis, cocaine, a mixing agent and cash. The estimated street value of these is over £2 million and will be a severe blow to the crime gang involved.
“The more illegal drugs removed from our streets, the better for us all. It is likely these drugs would have been distributed right across Northern Ireland, so many communities have been spared. Drug money helps to fund other criminal activities and can even fund paramilitaries.
“I would urge anyone with information about illegal drugs to pass it to the police on the 101 number or to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.”
