Alliance East Belfast MLA Chris Lyttle has condemned a group of youths who attacked Councillor John Kyle when he confronted them at the memorial to David Ervine. Mr Kyle has said one of the youths was defecating on the memorial while the others filmed it.
Chris Lyttle said: “This incident must be condemned by all. There can be absolutely no excuse for the attack on Councillor Kyle or the disgusting behaviour at the memorial to Mr Ervine. I would urge anyone with information to pass it to the police or the Crimestoppers charity.”
