East Antrim Alliance MLA Stewart Dickson has condemned an incident in Larne, in which a man has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to murder police officers.
The arrest took place after a car rammed three police vehicles on the Killyglen Road. A second man is thought to have ran away from the scene.
Stewart Dickson said: “The police carry out a vital role by protecting our community and they must be able to do this unhindered. I condemn those behind this alleged attack on police and would ask anyone who witnessed the incident, or has information about it to pass it to the police.”
