Five priority areas have been identified; Aspiration and Attainment, Area Based Planning, Working in Partnership, Valuing all Education Pathways, and Early Years Development.
Chris has been working as the Alliance Party representative on the partnership. The framework was launched at the Park Avenue Hotel in East Belfast and was also attended by local MP Naomi Long and Alliance Belfast Council Group Leader Councillor Michael Long.
Chris Lyttle MLA said: “It was great to see so many schools, local organisations and elected representatives at this launch and committed to raising the value placed on education in our community’.
“This is an innovative and collaborative approach where teachers, parents, community workers, elected representatives and businesses are working together to improve educational opportunity and outcomes for all children in East Belfast. The aim of this strategy is to raise aspiration and maximise the co-ordination of the scarce resources available to our schools.
“This is a positive framework for education and we must now all work together to deliver the best possible education for all our children in East Belfast.”
