Chris Lyttle MLA said: “I was privileged to attend this event to remember all the lives that have been lost to terrorism both in Northern Ireland and beyond. We must never forget all those who were killed and injured during the dark days of the Troubles. It was important that Stormont was able to send a message that we stand united with people across Europe against terrorism.
“I never cease to be amazed by the courage and conviction of all the victims that I have met and I was glad to speak to some of them at this event.
“While I am concerned by the threat to the Stormont House Agreement by Sinn Fein’s decision to block Welfare Reform, I hope that we will still be able to implement the specific aspects around the past to deliver truth, justice and services to victims and survivors – they deserve nothing less.”
