Cllr Maire Hendron said: “I am shocked that a four year old girl has been injured as a result of this callous act. This could have been a lot worse.
“There is absolutely no justification for this attack. It serves no purpose.
“The people responsible for this attack have no regards for the consequences of their actions.
“There is a need people in the area to remain calm. I would urge restraint.
“If anybody has any information about this attack then I would urge them to contact the police.”
