Lunn condemns Moira shooting

Alliance Lagan Valley MLA Trevor Lunn has condemned those who shot a man in the hand in Moira last night. The victim was getting out of his car when he was approached by two masked men, one of whom then shot him. His injuries are not life threatening.

Trevor Lunn MLA said: “There is no place on our streets for guns. There can never be any justification for this sort of violence.

“The people who carried out this attack are obviously very callous individuals who have no regard for the consequences of their actions.

“My thoughts are with the victim. I hope he is able to make a full recovery.

“If anybody has any information about this shooting then I would urge them to contact the police.”
