Ford outraged at death threats against McDevitt and Spence

Alliance Leader David Ford MLA has expressed his outrage after SDLP MLA Conall McDevitt and DUP Cllr Guy Spence received a death threats on Thursday. This follows death threats to Naomi Long, Jeffrey Donaldson and Edwin Poots

David Ford MLA said: “I am outraged that two more elected representatives have been issued with death threats by cowardly individuals. It is completely unacceptable that Conall and Guy along with other politicians have had been given death threats.

“I would like to extend the support and solidarity of the Alliance Party to Conall and Guy.

“Issuing death threats against elected representatives is an attack on democracy. The threats, intimidation and attacks that we have seen against members of my party as well as those of the DUP, SDLP and Sinn Fein must stop now.”
