Stewart Dickson MLA said: “I am disgusted by the way in which Ulster Bank has treated its customers over this problem. I have heard time and time again that it will be fixed in a couple of days, but it has taken the parent company of Ulster Bank to admit that it will be next week at the earliest before the issue is resolved.
“The fact that it has taken somebody outside of the Ulster Bank to say this is indicative of the lack of leadership and communication that is coming from them.
“I know computers are hard to fix, but if they were able to be more truthful and better communicate what has gone wrong and when it will be fixed, then I am sure it would have made the situation far less stressful for their customers.
“This whole fiasco has shaken the public’s confidence in Ulster Bank, many of whom will be deciding if they want to do business with them after this disaster.”
