Alliance South Antrim representatives David Ford MLA and Cllr Neil Kelly have condemned the attack over night on the house of PUP representative Ken Wilkinson. A car containing tyres and a gas cylinder was driven to his house and set alight. Nobody was injured but another car was destroyed.
David Ford MLA said: “Somebody could have been easily killed or seriously injured in this attack. The people responsible have no regard for the lives of others.
“I would like to pass on my support to Ken following this attack. Nobody deserves to be targeted like this.”
Cllr Neil Kelly said: “People do not want violence on their street. They want to be able to get on with their lives without the fear of these types of attacks
“If anybody has any information about this attack then I would urge them to contact the police.”
