McNamee hopes that we can now progress Connswater Greenway

Alliance East Belfast Councillor Laura McNamee has expressed her hope that the Connswater Greenway can now be progressed after the Council announced that they would advertise for a new contract after the previous contract was terminated.

Cllr Laura McNamee said: “I hope that this decision by Belfast Council will now mean that we can get the development of the Connswater Greenway progressed. This is meant to be for the benefit of the local community and I have been disappointed by the delays in this project.

“The greenway is an integral part of the regeneration of East Belfast, which should be kick-started now that the contract is being advertised.

“The aim of the Connswater Greenway is leave a lasting legacy for future generations and I hope that we will still be able to do this.”
