Newcastle Alliance Councillor Patrick Clarke is encouraging local charities, community, voluntary and other not for profit organisations who are seeking advice on grant applications and fundraising issues to avail of a free one-to-one consultancy advice session which the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action (NICVA) are holding in Newcastle.
The fundraising advice clincis are taking place on 27th March in the offices of Kairos Centre, Newcastle. One-to-one booking sessions are free and can give organisations advice on making grant applications.
Councillor Patrick Clarke stated: “Many local charities, community, voluntary and not for profit organisations often find when applying for grant funding for a project can be quite a minefield, particularly given the strict guidelines, criteria and deadlines placed by various grant funding bodies when applying.
“NICVA are holding fundraising advice clinics in Newcastle on 27th March 2012 to offer charities and other not-for-profit organisations guidance and advice on grant applications and other fundraising issues. These can be availed off by booking a one-to-one session for free consultancy advice.
“The one-to-one sessions can be very helpful particuarly if an organisation needs help with making various grant funding applications for a particular project.
“Advice can be given on completing grant applications, finding funders to match a project, or getting help with community fundraising.
“I would strongly encourage local charities, community, voluntary and other not for profit organisations to avail of the fundraising advice clinics which will be held in the offices of Kairos Centre in Newcastle on 27th March 2012 by contacting NICVA on 02890 877777 or logging onto www.nicva.org.”
