Cochrane offers condolences following death of woman in road accident

Alliance East Belfast MLA Judith Cochrane has offered her condolences to the family and friends of a woman who has died following a road accident on Monday night on the Albertbridge Road in East Belfast. Delores Friar was 72 years old and came from the Templemore Street area.

Judith Cochrane MLA said: “I would like to offer my sympathies to the family and friends of Delores. This was a tragic loss of life.

“Her death highlights the dangers we face on the roads and the need to improve road safety. The Department of the Environment has been doing a lot of good work on road safety but the public needs to be responsible when out on the roads.

“I would urge all road users to be extra vigilant of others on the roads including pedestrians to prevent any more road deaths.”
