Cllr Máire Hendron said: “Those involved in this robbery are beyond contempt. This Post Office delivers a vital service for the surrounding community and those who carried out this robbery have displayed utter contempt for public safety and for the staff working at the time.
“Our Post Offices are facing a tough enough time at present in this difficult economic climate, and the last thing they need are despicable incidents like this which are traumatic and which disrupt work. Anyone who can help police catch the thugs involved should contact police immediately.”
