David Ford said: “There have been a number of attacks on houses in Antrim in recent times. This was a despicable and cowardly incident and I appeal to anyone with information on it to contact police immediately.
“Our thoughts are with those whose house was subject to this attack and people in the town are shocked at this incident.
“We are working hard to try and grow the economy and bring new jobs to Antrim, and such incidents send out a very negative message.”
Antrim Alliance Councillor Neil Kelly said: “I am appalled at news of this attack. People in Antrim are fed up with the small number of individuals who have carried out the recent spate of attacks on houses and I hope those involved in this latest incident are swiftly brought to justice.”
