Stewart Dickson MLA said: “I would like to congratulate and pay tribute to the hard work and effort by the Justice Minister David Ford and the officials in the Court Service for bringing an end to this dispute. They have resolved this issue and now the courts will be able to operate as normal when the summer recess ends.
“While others were timid, David Ford has been resolute on this issue and has ensured that a large amount of savings has been made for the benefit of the taxpayer and ensured that we can operate within the Department of Justice budget for legal aid.
“I would like to welcome the decision by the lawyers to accept the new system and their willingness to play their part in making savings for public services.”
