Kieran McCarthy MLA said: “This was a callous, sickening murder which has sinister echoes of our brutal past. I want to pass on my deepest sympathies to the family who have lost their son or brother. People don’t want this, they are appalled and this strengthens people’s resolve to beat terrorism. There must be an end to this and the police need the public’s help to put these thugs behind bars.”
