Seán Neeson MLA said: “It is simply not good enough for Airtricity to sit on its hands and do nothing. Other energy firms are cutting prices and Airtricity should follow suit immediately.
“Because Airtricity supplies mainly business consumers, in these days of recession it is vitally important to make Northern Ireland as competitive as possible to attract further inward investment.
“Northern Ireland consumers have had high electricity prices for too long and we need to see reductions coming from all companies operating here. NIE have acted and now Airtricity must too.”
