Cllr Barney Fitzpatrick said: “I strongly condemn this despicable attack. Those involved in this incident showed total disregard for the safety of people in this area. What sort of people can act this way?
“I would appeal to anyone with information on this attack to contact local police immediately. We need to get those who carried out this attack off our streets as soon as possible.”
