Alliance Councillor Geraldine Rice has condemned last night’s sectarian attack on Holy Rosary Primary School in South Belfast.
Councillor Rice, who is from the area and has a relative attending the school stated:
“I am absolutely appalled at this blatantly naked sectarianism. It is a shame and disgrace that these thugs can come into the area and wreak havoc in this way.”
“I am calling on all politicians and community leaders not just to condemn these attacks, but to do in word and deed anything they can to stop this before gets out of control.”
“This has been a very traumatic experience for the children at the school. How do you explain to children who have lived in a relatively peaceful, mixed area in a more peaceful society than their older brothers and sisters?”
