Webb wishes police officers injured in North Belfast crash a speedy recovery

North Belfast Alliance Representative Cllr Billy Webb has wished the police officers who were injured in a crash with a suspect vehicle a speedy recovery. He praised the police on their bravery and said their vigilance must be recognised. The crash took place near the back of the Antrim Road police station last night, and some houses in the Cliftonville Parade area were evacuated as the car was examined.

Cllr Billy Webb said: “I want to wish the officers who were injured in this incident a speedy recovery. This incident caused much annoyance and disruption for people in the locality, but I want to commend the police on their vigilance.

“It’s better to be safe than sorry when it comes to our security. The authorities are doing a good job in combating terrorism and they need the full support of the whole community in their efforts to do so.”
