Webb concerned at North Belfast shootings

Alliance North Belfast representative Councillor Billy Webb has expressed his concern after shots were fired at a flat in Avoca Street and a house in Summer Street in North Belfast on Friday morning. Three men were in the flat in Avoca Street but were unhurt and the house in Summer Street was empty at the time of the shooting.

Cllr Billy Webb said: “I am extremely concerned by these two shootings. I am worried by the intention behind them. The people responsible for these attacks obviously have no regard for the wellbeing of others.

“I am just glad that nobody was injured in these attacks. Somebody could have been seriously injured or killed.

“If anybody has any information about these two shootings then I would urge them to contact the police.”
