Alliance Health Spokesperson Paula Bradshaw has warned that threats to the functioning of the Executive are literally playing with people’s lives, as there remains no budget settlement for health services emerging from the Pandemic.
The South Belfast MLA stated: “We need to be very clear that with no budget set for health services emerging from the Pandemic, playing with the institutions is playing with people’s lives.
“With less than two months to the end of the term anyway, what the public want to see is MLAs putting in extra shifts to get the job done, not running away from their responsibilities.
“It is time we saw real focus from Executive ministers on the ongoing public health emergency and managing all the issues emerging from it, particularly on behalf of the most vulnerable in society.”
