Yvonne Boyle, Alliance Party Spokesperson for Arts Culture and Heritage has praised the organisers of ‘Once Is Too Much’ exhibition in Derry, which expresses violence against women.
Yvonne Boyle said:
“This is a powerful exhibition. It shows how art can explore a taboo and painful issue and raises awareness of the scale of the problem, where fifty four women have died in Southern and Northern Ireland since 1995.”
“If anyone thinks that Art and Art exhibitions are not relevant to everyday problems or cannot contribute to debate and help change attitudes to make us better citizens, they should go and see this exhibition.”
