Alliance Justice spokesperson Trevor Lunn MLA has condemned the organisers of a republican parade held in Belfast on Sunday.
Trevor Lunn said: “It is time we moved away from the situation where people on both sides of our community think they have the need to put on a paramilitary show of strength. Whether that display is because of a loyalist funeral of a former member, or a republican commemoration parade for a former member, it is time these people realised our society has moved on.
“It is particularly worrying when children are dressed up in paramilitary clothing and take part in these parades. There can be no more excuses for such paramilitary displays.”
