Neeson says we need to grow private sector and tackle division

Alliance Enterprise Spokesperson Seán Neeson MLA has said on the economy that the quick fix politics of cuts is wrong and that to make progress we need a coherent plan to grow our private sector, tackle division and ensure efficiencies can be found.

Seán Neeson MLA said: “Quick fix politics involving harsh public sector cuts could do our economy real harm. We need a coherent long-term strategy that will grow our private sector, let us tackle division, tackle duplication of services and deliver more value for money.

“Politicians must show strategic vision to create more private sector jobs and ensure long-term growth so that our economy becomes less reliant on the public sector. We need a responsible approach from politicians to put Northern Ireland in the best possible position to capitalise on future economic opportunities. We need to see a Green New Deal implemented to provide new jobs and we need to tackle the cost of segregation in our society to deliver more efficiency in public services.”
