Neeson says social economy can deliver jobs and benefit the community

On the day that a motion on the social economy is to be debated in the Assembly, Alliance Enterprise Spokesperson Seán Neeson MLA has said that social economy should be promoted actively by government as it creates jobs and delivers for communities in Northern Ireland.

Seán Neeson MLA said: “Social economy projects not only help boost our economy through creating employment opportunities but they also deliver positive results for communities.

“The social economy empowers communities and organisations to make a positive difference and promotes entrepreneurship and vision.

“It is vitally important that this sector is well-resourced by government so that more projects can be created and existing ones can flourish and grow.”
